The cultural landscape of Labouheyre will be enriched in 2025 with an unmissable artistic event: an exhibition at the Maison de la Photographie which reveals two complementary perspectives on Haute Lande. This event, for the public as well as for visual art lovers, is part of a dynamic of promoting contemporary photographic creativity and heritage testimony. By comparing two works whose geographical and temporal distance reveals an enriching diversity of perspective, this exhibition invites reflection on the relationship between man, his territory and collective memory. The House of Photography, an emblematic place on the local artistic scene, stands out for its ability to orchestrate projects combining tradition and innovation, thus consolidating its notoriety on a regional and national scale.
With a program renewed from year to year, this structure asserts itself as a true crossroads of exchange where different artistic approaches confront each other. This particular exhibition, which runs from July 5 to August 23, 2025, is part of an ambitious cultural policy, aiming to make Labouheyre a key destination for photography in Aquitaine. The synergy between works from opposite horizons – one from the old continent, the other from a region little known outside its borders – would not fail to bring together tradition and modernity, realism and poetry, in a fluid and captivating staging.
